Starside Elementary, located in De Soto, Kansas has earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for the last 14 years. Throughout the school year we host a number opportunities for students and families to get involved with community outreach. In this session, we will share a variety of service activities, including school-wide community service days, Comet’s Care community service club, and family avenues for outreach. We will focus on Proven Practice #4. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with Starside’s Counselor, as well as two model students who have actively participated in numerous outreach programs.
